Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cutting & Packing Room Manager to lead our production teams and ensure daily outputs meet customer, regulatory and export requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced environment, central to maintaining plant performance and product integrity.
This is a full-time position, dayshift 6.00 am – 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday, with the opportunity for overtime.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate and support daily operations in the cutting and packing rooms.
Lead, motivate and manage a diverse team of up to 50 employees.
Maintain staffing levels by selecting, training and developing employees, including providing opportunities for skill growth and advancement.
Accomplish team performance results through effective coaching, counselling and disciplinary action when required.
Monitor yields, cutting performance, packing accuracy and labelling to meet customer specifications.
Work closely with QA and sales teams to align production with market and order requirements.
Enforce hygiene, OH&S, food safety and export compliance standards.
Ensure cutting and packing room operations are conducted cost-effectively while maintaining high quality and efficiency.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and workflow efficiencies.
Skills & Qualifications
Certificate III or IV in Meat Processing (Boning) or significant equivalent industry experience.
Strong team leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of AUS-Meat standards, export compliance and production workflows.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment and meet tight deadlines.
