Your new role
As Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the school's financial operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
* Maintaining general ledger integrity and completing balance sheet reconciliations
* Managing fixed asset processes and supporting policy development
* Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
* Ensuring compliance with GST, FBT, PAYG, and superannuation obligations
* Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting
* Driving process improvements and system enhancements
What you'll need to succeed
* CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years)
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Synergetic advantageous)
* Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Employee Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
