Overview
Position: Humanities Teacher and House Coordinator at Mentone Grammar. The role includes teaching Humanities and leading the Jones House to support student belonging and development as part of the Mentone Grammar community.
Responsibilities
* Teach Humanities (Year 7) and work with students in Years 10–12 as a House Coordinator.
* Support student wellbeing, friendships, and personal development within the House system.
* Help build and maintain a positive house culture where every student feels they belong.
* Foster long-term relationships with students across year groups and assist their journey from Year 5 through graduation.
* Coordinate house events, leadership opportunities, and relevant school trips as part of house leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications / Experience
* Qualified teacher with experience across primary and secondary settings; history/ humanities focus and a passion for teaching Humanities.
* Experience in school leadership roles related to houses or student wellbeing (e.g., Jones House Coordinator since 2023).
* Strong interpersonal skills, including listening and remembering important details about students to support their sense of being seen and supported.
