What you'll be doing
The Nurse Practitioner / Transitional Nurse Practitioner (NP/TNP) will work autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended nursing clinical role, meeting the clinical demand of the Emergency Department (ED), within their defined and agreed scope of practice and formulary including patients with chronic and complex care.
The NP/TNP is an expert in chronic and complex health conditions and supports the development of best practice emergency care plans and coordination of discharge plans from the ED for identified high risk patients with chronic and / or complex medical diagnosis that present to the ED.
Contribute to clinical excellence through research, teaching, consulting and providing leadership to the nursing profession.
Coordination of health care activity and referral to, and liaison with, external community agencies and services relevant to their conditions.
About you
Do you have current nurses registration and Authorised by the Nurses' and Midwives' Board of New South Wales to practice as a nurse practitioner or currently working towards the same with the ability to complete all requirements in 3 years and demonstrated ability to act as a role model for colleagues and can work across a spectrum of Emergency Nursing.
