What you'll do
* Work in partnership with the Sales & Relations Manager and Operations Manager to align and support all departments
* Provide leadership and structure for the Property Management department
* Mentor PM staff and assist with admin staff, building a positive, high-performing culture
* Oversee compliance and risk processes (RTRA Act, OFT requirements, forms, audits, record keeping)
* Assist in streamlining workflows and enhance systems (PropertyMe, ReNet, Inspect Real Estate)
* Liaise with landlords, tenants, trades, and suppliers on escalated matters
* Prepare reports and contribute to continuous improvement across the business
About you
* You'll be someone who is:
* Experienced in real estate, property management, or professional services (2–3+ years)
* Licensed (or willing to be licensed) in Real Estate with a current driver's licence
* Holding any current Real Estate licence to meet regulatory requirements
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident juggling multiple priorities
* An effective communicator with a supportive, solutions-focused leadership style
* Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly pick up new systems
* Knowledgeable about the RTRA Act 2008 and compliance requirements or willing to learn and become well versed
* Possessing expert level knowledge of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008

Est. in 2000, husband and wife team Denise and Peter Phillips (Dec), launched their Mortgage Choice franchise and 25 years later, The Gardian Group now consists of a few Phillips brothers; Luke heading up Gardian Insurance, Ben Phillips - Gardian Finance & Financial Planning and another Ben (not a brother) Kerrisk in Gardian Real Estate.
We pride ourselves on living our values by being the leaders in our respective fields, enjoying our working journey whilst supporting not only one another, but also our Mackay Regional community. Our Gardian Family Fun Day raising much-needed funds for the Mackay Hospital Foundation, as well as monthly contributions from sales made. Additionally, our staff donate and Gardian matches almost $10,000 to the Mackay Community Foundation every year.

People like Nicole, who started as a Real Estate receptionist twelve years ago and is now a qualified financial planner and received her Masters Degree two years ago. It's people like Nicole who have driven our metamorphosis and we support them with workplace innovations. For instance, every new hire is assigned a buddy to help them in their first few months. We have split our workforce into small agile teams, with their own names, goals, and plans to give people a clearer vision and focus. With our vision to be the 'small giants' in the Mackay regional community, our long-term goal is to continue growing by at least 15% each year.
