Location: Moranbah Region
Contract: Until end of October with strong potential for extensions
Roster: 4 days on / 3 days off (Monday – Thursday | 11–12 hour days)

Data#3 is currently seeking an experienced Technology Support Specialist to support one of our clients in the mining industry at their Moranbah based mine site. This role is ideal for a capable Senior Desktop Support professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys working closely with end users to keep critical systems running smoothly.
This is a site-based role supporting a busy mining operation, providing hands-on IT support and ensuring reliable technology services for operational teams.
About the Role
As the Technology Support Specialist, you will provide frontline and advanced technical support across desktop systems, applications, and infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintaining operational technology reliability while delivering excellent customer service to site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to end users via in-person, phone, E-Mail, or remote support tools
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently to minimise downtime
* Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, applications, and peripherals
* Assist with system upgrades, installations, and migrations, ensuring compatibility and data integrity
* Perform routine maintenance including patching, updates, and security configurations
* Provide remote hands support for operational and project teams located offsite
* Maintain network rack cabling standards, including cable management and labelling
* Ensure systems remain compliant with security and patching standards
* Create and maintain documentation, troubleshooting guides, and user procedures
* Deliver End-user training and support for systems and applications
* Collaborate with broader technology teams to support new systems and technology initiatives
About You
We are looking for a proactive IT professional who can work independently in a busy mine site environment and deliver reliable technical support.
Key skills and experience:
* Strong experience in desktop or End-user technology support
* Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage priorities in a high-demand operational environment
* Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments is highly regarded
