Electrical Engineer
Project: SUSCAP Mining
Location: Perth, Australia
Duration: 12-months initial casual contract
The role requires an electrical engineer to prepare designs and calculations for electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with relevant standards.
1. Develop detailed electrical and instrumentation designs and calculations adhering to Australian and industry standards.
2. Design and specify Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems, including Main Control Centers (MCC's), switchrooms, switchgear, and supporting infrastructure.
3. Create and manage technical documentation, including specifications and technical reports.
4. Owning and managing electrical, instrumentation, and controls design throughout project lifecycle.
5. Collaborate with designers to develop plant element designs across a range of projects.
6. Produce technical engineering documents as part of overall project deliverables.
7. Possibility to participate in site-based assignments for construction, commissioning, or operating plant activities.
About You:
1. Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
2. Experience working in mineral processing or bulk material handling, preferably in a design and construction environment.
3. Proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory software is advantageous.
4. In-depth knowledge of power systems and LV/MV design principles.
5. Understanding of project development stages, from studies to commissioning.
6. Familiarity with relevant Australian and industry codes and standards.
7. Australian work authorization required. This includes being a PR Holder or having a valid working VISA.
