We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team. This role suits someone who takes pride in food quality, organisation, and proper stock control.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard
* Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
Stock Management:
* Manage stock for your section
* Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
* Check deliveries for accuracy, quality, and expiry dates
* Label and date all food items correctly
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages early
* Record wastage and report missing stock
* Assist with weekly and monthly stocktakes
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Chef or Cook
* Good understanding of stock control and food costs
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
* Able to work independently and in a team
