Pakton Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team in our Deception Bay office. The role will be full time, 38 hrs per week – Monday – Friday to provide efficient day-to-day operations of the accounts function and to support to the CFO & Directors.
Working closely with the CFO and Directors, the role involves the provision of a broad range of functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Month end processing (BAS, IAS, Payroll tax preparation and submission)
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and reports
* Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, weekly payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
* Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Oversee financial aspects of inventory management, assisting with stocktakes
* Assist the CFO with financial reporting and other ad-hoc duties as required
* Establish and manage relations with suppliers
* Monitor and report on staff compliances/certifications to the CFO & Directors
* Data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Support operations, sales and Management teams in peak periods
* Assist with the day-to-day duties of accounts payable/accounts receivable, general receptionist duties- answering and directing phone calls when needed
The successful candidate will receive exposure to a variety of tax and compliance matters which will provide significant opportunities to improve technical knowledge and develop professional skills.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:-
* Qualified accountant with relevant certifications highly regarded (e.g., CPA, ACCA)
* Proven experience (3-5 years) in financial management, accounting, or related roles
* Strong knowledge of Australian financial and regulatory frameworks, including taxation laws
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping, payroll and accounting principles
* Finance and administration experience and good time management skills
* High attention to detail together with a high level of initiative
* You will be a strong communicator and able to work at pace with changing priorities
* You will be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn new systems with ease
* Able to communicate effectively both written and orally
* Be able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously and be self-driven
* Proficiency with MYOB accounting software is required as well as system integration experience
