Position Title: Asset Leader
Role Purpose/How You Help
The Asset Leader role is fundamental to maintaining one of the most important aspects of Orange Sky Australia - the Laundry Pod. The Asset Leader will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting any issues or faults with the Pod. It would be advantageous if you have experience in problem solving of this kind (in-depth mechanical knowledge or skill is NOT required for this role).
Supervision & Reporting
It is the Asset Leader's responsibility to complete regular checks to ensure the Pod is always safe, clean and well stocked. This role will report directly to the Service Leader and the Service Operations team at HQ and will work closely with our volunteers to make sure the Pod is operating each week.
Key Responsibilities
It is the Asset Leader's responsibility to ensure the van Pod is always safe, clean and well stocked. The Service Leader and HQ team will support the Asset Leader with incidents, maintenance, stock and repairs.
Some of the key responsibilities are;
1. First point of contact for all Pod related support & basic troubleshooting
2. Carry out regular checks to the Pod ensuring the it is safe for operation
3. General up-keep and maintenance of the Pod
4. Building and maintaining relationships with local contractors
5. Check in with SOPS (Service Operations) Manager on a regular basis
6. At all times embrace & promote Orange Skys culture of ensuring safe and supportive service environments
7. Other ad hoc tasks allocated by the SOPS Manager
8. Time Required: Up to 5 flexible hours per week but can vary pending demands on service.
How we help you
A comprehensive onboarding & training program will be provided to ensure the volunteer is able to successfully fulfil the role. Training will be provided across Asana, Volaby, WhatsApp/Slack & any other programs you may be required to use.
Support is available from the team at HQ as required.
Hours
Approximately 5 flexible hours per week but can vary pending demands on service.
Skills Required:
1. Confidence in learning new technologies or platforms (training will be provided)
2. Willing to give things a crack
