Odyssey House NSW is seeking an Executive Director, Finance and Corporate Services to join the executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial, corporate and infrastructure foundation of the organisation. This is a broad and influential role, responsible for overseeing finance, corporate services, infrastructure, human resources, quality, and governance. You will also serve as Company Secretary, supporting the Board and its Committees to ensure robust governance and compliance. The role will suit a leader who combines sharp financial acumen with strong people and change management skills. At the same time, you’ll bring a hands-on approach to financial operations by ensuring processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient, while guiding your team to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role is based in the corporate office in Redfern NSW but will be expected to travel to other Odyssey sites around the Greater Sydney Region when required. We provide a diverse range of services, including: Withdrawal services One-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors Group therapy Residential rehabilitation Free education through Odyssey House NSW College What you’ll be doing Leading finance, HR, quality, governance, procurement, contracts, infrastructure and IT functions. Driving efficiency and cost reduction through strategic use of systems and consolidated processes. Overseeing day-to-day financial processes and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and integrity of information. Acting as Company Secretary, ensuring best-practice governance and strong Board support. Guiding financial decision-making across the organisation, with a focus on accountability and outcomes. Leading change processes that strengthen performance and build organisational capability. Developing trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and Board members. Desired Skills and Experience CA or CPA qualification (essential). An understanding of corporate governance and effective board processes At least 10 years’ senior leadership experience in finance and corporate services, ideally within a complex or NFP environment. Proven experience managing technology and infrastructure, with the ability to make strategic decisions. Strong governance, planning, problem-solving and change management skills. Demonstrated ability to build and influence at the most senior levels. Exceptional people leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. A current NSW Driver’s Licence. Have the ability to obtain or currently hold a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
