We have a great opportunity for an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join a large reputable printing organisation located in Craigieburn. What's on offer? Craigieburn location $40 Per hour Monday to Friday - Rotating between dayshift 7am-3pm and afternoon shift 3pm-11pm Ongoing casual assignment The pre-press department plays a key role in preparing all printing parts and components before the actual print process begins. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining printing components using manual tools and chemical wash systems, including acid solutions. This role requires strict attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and working in a controlled environment with full personal protective equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities: As a key member of the pre-press department you main duties will include, although not limited to: Cleaning of metal and printing components prior to production Manual scraping and chemical removal of inks and residues Operating industrial washing machine and acid wash stations safely and efficiently Manual handling of medium-weight printing parts Conducting routine checks and reporting worn or damaged parts Setting up printing units for production lines Visual quality inspection Basic troubleshooting of equipment Documenting all cleaning activities and part inspections Working within strict quality assurance guidelines whilst adhering to all OHS and chemical handling protocols Following detailed cleaning and storage procedures and work instructions Working in temperature-controlled, high-security environment Wearing full body protective PPE, including gloves, face shield, boots, and overalls About You To be successful in this opportunity you will possess the following: Ability to complete a detailed background check, full medical check including drug and alcohol screening and a clear police check Previous printing, mechanical or manufacturing experience highly regarded Mechanically minded and able to work under minimal supervision Must be physically fit and comfortable with physical tasks and standing for long periods of time High level of attention to detail and ability to meet high quality standards Available Monday to Friday on a rotating shift roster (day and afternoon shifts) Full working rights in Australia Benefits Join the Staff Australia team today: $40 p/hr Weekly pay Great team environment Casual ongoing to permanent opportunity Immediate start How to apply If this sounds like the opportunity you have been looking for click APPLY now.
