Developer looking for a new HSE Safety Officer to work with the Site Manager on our Highrise Projects.
We are seeking a motivated professional with experience in Midrise Apartments. This is a Contract role with long-term work in the pipeline that can progress into full‑time for the right candidate.
HSE Safety Officer to join our Project/Development division
We have developments under construction in Gold Coast and Brisbane and are seeking a capable HSE Safety Officer that can deliver these projects.
Responsibilities
* Ensure WHS processes are carried out effectively
* Coordinate and manage safety related tasks
* Provide support and advice to site teams
* Ensure safety documentation is up to date
* Pre starts, inductions, site walks.
* Risk identification & assessment, ensuring regulations are met
* Carry out health and safety audits and workplace inspections
* Training of staff
Requirements
* Minimum Cert IV in WHS
* 5+ years of HSE experience within commercial construction
* Previous experience working on high‑rise construction projects valued $50M+
* Experience working for a head contractor is essential
* Be able to develop and maintain relationships
* Have a good understanding of current legislation, regulations & building codes
* Be articulate, well presented and a clear communicator
