We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our Sydney team on a 3–6 month contract. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives translating creative ideas into technically robust, safe and commercially sound production outcomes.

This role is primarily based at our Leichhardt office and requires flexible hours and onsite production work.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Production, you will lead the technical and production delivery of assigned projects from inception through to onsite execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Project Leadership – Oversee production delivery including schedules, technical drawings, build specifications and documentation.
* Creative Translation – Work closely with designers to interpret creative direction into practical technical solutions.
* Budget & Forecasting Support – Collaborate with creative and finance teams to develop accurate project costs, quotes and forecasting.
* Logistics & Freight – Manage domestic and international freight, trucking and equipment allocations ensuring milestones are met.
* Resource Planning – Identify and coordinate technical crew, subcontractors, vehicles, accommodation and site equipment.
* WHS & Compliance – Develop and implement project-specific SWMS and ensure safe onsite delivery.
* Onsite Management – Represent the company onsite, overseeing crew, equipment and client relationships.
* Innovation – Identify opportunities for new technologies, R&D and process improvements that strengthen our competitive edge.
What You’ll Bring
* Demonstrated experience in production management within lighting, entertainment, or technical event environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of lighting systems and working understanding of broader audiovisual technologies.
* Proven ability to manage complex logistics including freight and equipment planning.
* Excellent planning, documentation and time management skills.
* Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency with Mac operating systems and online project tools.
* Ability to travel interstate and internationally as required.
* Unrestricted driver's licence.
