ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Northern Territory Primary Health Network (NT PHN) is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) to Chair its Clinical Council.
The Clinical Council is NT PHN's primary clinical advisory body, providing independent clinical input, advice, and insight to inform strategy, commissioning, and governance decisions. The Council brings together clinicians from across the Territory to ensure NT PHN's work is informed by contemporary clinical practice and local system needs.
The council meets on a quarterly basis (approximately 3 hours per meeting), with occasional additional meetings or engagements as required.
The Chair plays a key leadership role in guiding the effective operation of the Clinical Council, strengthening clinical engagement, and supporting high-quality clinical advice to the NT PHN Board.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a registered GP
* Have demonstrated leadership and facilitation experience
* Possess a strong understanding of primary health care systems and clinical governance
* Be able to engage collaboratively with a diverse range of clinical stakeholders
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU
As Chair of the Clinical Council, you will:
* Lead and facilitate Clinical Council meetings
* Approve and guide meeting agendas
* Foster strong participation, collaboration, and engagement among Council members
* Support effective governance and constructive clinical discussion
* Prepare and present a quarterly report to the NT PHN Board
* Act as the primary clinical representative of the Clinical Council
The position pays a monthly stipend of $348.75 + superannuation, annual remuneration of $4,185 + superannuation.
The applicant must reside within the NT.
