Join the NSW Department of Education as a Business Analyst (Clerk Grade 7/8)

We are excited to announce an opening for a Business Analyst within our Teaching and Learning Support directorate.

• Location: Parramatta with access to various NSW Education offices and flexible working arrangements available

• Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8 with base salary ranging from $113,574 to $125,720 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

• Ongoing full-time opportunities

About the Teaching and Learning Support directorate

The Teaching and Learning Support (TLS) directorate enables schools, teachers and the system to support all learners to effectively and equitably access and engage with the curriculum to reach their potential. TLS develops and delivers evidence-based professional learning, resources and advice to schools to enable the provision of an outstanding education for every learner.

About the role

The Business Analyst conducts current and future state analysis to document requirements, processes, and procedures to support the delivery of the new selective education placement test framework and the delivery of computer-based placement tests in schools.

About you

You are a strategic and solutions-focused Business Analyst who thrives on turning complex information into actionable insights. With a strong grasp of business processes, stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation, you are confident in your ability to analyse current and future state requirements to deliver practical, user-centred solutions. Your communication skills and collaborative approach allow you to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and reflected in project outcomes.

Key knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements:

• Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)

• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
