Field Service Technician - Flyers Creek Wind Farm
Are you ready to elevate your career in renewable energy? Flyers Creek Wind Farm located approximately 20km south of Orange in the Central West region of NSW, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join the team! Compromising of 38 GE 3.8MW Turbines, powering more than 80,000 Australian households and offsetting over 330,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
This project plays a vital role in advancing Australia’s transition to a greener, more sustainable future.
You’ll be working at the forefront of renewable energy, maintaining and troubleshooting wind turbines at some of the most exciting and innovative sites in the country. No two days are the same, you’ll be climbing turbines, solving real-world technical challenges, and helping to keep Australia’s wind power turning.
Your role as the Field Service Technician will see you performing scheduled and unscheduled servicing of wind turbines and site infrastructure.
Undertake tasks including annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchange and fault finding
Perform high voltage switching operations according to site procedures as required
Embrace a 37.5-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime as approved and participate in on-call rosters for after-hours or weekend work as directed.
About You
Qualified Electrician or a qualified Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter with electrical aptitude
Proficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment)
Trained to an intermediate level in using computer systems and tools for monitoring work and managing documentation
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights, comfortable with heights (you’ll be climbing turbines, so you’ve got to have a head for heights and a love for fresh air!)
A current unrestricted driver's license
A commitment to the highest safety standards, high performance, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutions
Open to travel to other sites as required, from time to time.
