Fire Safety / Emergency Response Coordinator

This position is responsible for administration and review of all fire safety programs, including evacuation plans, fire drills, fire warden training, emergency action plans, development of personal emergency evacuation plans for self-identified colleagues, evacuation awareness training, and fire risk assessments. The incumbent will ensure compliance with local regulations and fire codes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain documentation and track all fire safety activities at AXP facilities, including drills, training, and assessments.
2. Ensure facilities comply with local fire safety laws and ordinances.
3. Manage fire drills and inspections in collaboration with local management.
4. Inspect fire prevention and emergency plans at designated facilities.
5. Represent the company to local fire departments as needed.
6. Support operational processes with the Global Security team and participate in the Crisis Response Team.
7. Collaborate with facilities management, workplace safety, and other stakeholders.
8. Maintain records and metrics demonstrating program effectiveness.
9. Work with law enforcement and fire safety officials.
10. Assist in security events, incidents, or crises; travel may be required.
11. Be on call 24/7.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in occupational fire safety, prevention, or emergency response.
* Knowledge of emergency response training, fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems.
* Experience in conducting evacuation drills and facilitating large group training.
* Proficiency in computer programs such as Slack, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Understanding of NFPA standards or country-specific fire safety standards.
* Strong multitasking, organizational, and project management skills.
* Ability to analyze problems and make quick decisions.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
