Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a professional and fast-paced environment?

We're seeking motivated and reliable Customer Service Officers to join a high-performing federal government team supporting the public through a range of front-facing and administrative services.


About the Role


In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for members of the public, providing accurate information and assistance across various service areas. You'll work across front counter, concierge, and administrative functions, handling a range of enquiries and documentation with professionalism and care.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver courteous, efficient, and professional service at the front counter, concierge, and via phone.
* Conduct quality assurance checks on documents before and after processing.
* Manage high-value inventory securely and in accordance with departmental procedures.
* Operate printing and scanning equipment and perform basic maintenance.
* Complete data entry, document processing, and general administrative support.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve enquiries and process transactions.
* Work collaboratively within a team to meet performance and service delivery targets.


About You


Our ideal candidates will bring a strong background in customer service-ideally within a government or high-volume public service environment-and demonstrate:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage challenging interactions.
* Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment and attention to detail.
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities.
* A high level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
* The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in using business systems and technology.
* A mature, reliable, and outcome-focused approach to work.


Requirements

* Australian citizenship (mandatory).
* Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Baseline Security Clearance (preferred).
