Australian Equipment Engineering (AEE) is a leading manufacturer of safety equipment for mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries. Our products are designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia and exported around the world. The head office is in Armadale, Western Australia. We have an opportunity for you to join our growing team that supports the global mining industry.

About the role

AEE is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be innovative, competent and have a common-sense approach to the role. The role is busy and multifaceted in a small team environment. It is oriented around new designs, continuous improvement and support for the AEE suite of products. This is a full-time Monday to Friday role that can commence immediately.

About You

* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 3 years' experience with Mobile Mining Equipment, or Transport / Agriculture Equipment
* Be familiar with 3D CAD modelling / FEA software - preferably Creo
* Ability to read and interpret parts lists and engineering drawings
* Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
* Be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in steel fabrication, hydraulics and mechanical design
* Be competent in dealing with customer requests at a technical level, potentially including carrying out onsite product support
* Be highly motivated and enthusiastic
* Contribute to a culture committed to continuous improvement
* Willing to work in team environment and with autonomy
* Knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace
* Proactive approach and positive attitude
* Be prepared to carry out varied tasks and become involved on all levels to see projects through to completion
* The ability to liaise with workshop staff is essential and expected throughout the manufacturing process
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Australian Resident based in Perth, with full working rights
* Ability to pass and complete a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol testing
