CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings, and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come.The ProjectWith an exciting pipeline of projects on the horizon, CPB Contractors are recruiting experienced Project Engineer for upcoming opportunities throughout Townsville, QLD.Your OpportunityThe Project Engineer is accountable in operational management to deliver optimum results whilst maintaining a safe working environment, cost, and quality delivery as tendered.What will a day in this role look like:Oversee business performance/systems and provide recommendations for business improvement/ growthContribute to the preparation of operational Project Budget and plans, in accordance with current BU/Group requirementsDemonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations.Comply with and require others to comply with relevant legislation, standards and Codes of Practice and Codes of ConductMaintain health and safety as a consistent agenda item at all workgroup meetingsParticipate as required in consultative forums pertaining to H&S managementInitiate H&S processes across the project, including toolbox talks, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risksPromote the reporting of incidents, near misses, hazards, non-conformances, system improvements and customer complaints and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely mannerUndertake corrective actions arising from H&S processes, including implementing incident investigations within agreed timeframesEnsure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirement and all relevant Company policies and procedures.Our minimum requirements for this role are:Degree qualification in Engineering/Project Management or related disciplineDemonstrated experience in delivery of construction projectsDemonstrated capability gained in a business / project management role at similar levelDemonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunitiesPreparation and management to operational budgets and reviewing financial informationOversee and control the execution of all tasks and projects in branch/department.Please note: This role is being sourced through CPB Contractors directly and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
