AO7 Principal Business Lead – Applications and Architecture
Our State Government Client is seeking an experienced AO7 Principal Business Lead – Applications and Architecture to join their Information Management Services team. This leadership role will drive innovation, manage critical business applications, and shape the future of digital service delivery for Queenslanders.
About the Role
You will lead a small team responsible for the architecture, implementation, and operational support of key business systems, including Aurion HRIS, OpenText eDRMS, and TechnologyOne FMIS. Your work will ensure these systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading architectural design and operational support for enterprise applications.
* Managing installation, configuration, and administration of critical systems and databases.
* Driving innovation and business process automation through modern technology.
* Providing specialist technical advice and 2nd/3rd level support.
* Conducting architectural fit reviews for ICT solutions.
* Leading projects for system implementations and upgrades.
* Fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.
About You

Technical expertise highly regarded:
* Aurion HRIS and OpenText Content Manager deployment and upgrades.
* Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, M365, Azure, SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps.
* SQL Server, PowerShell scripting, VMware, Azure Virtual Desktop.
* Networking fundamentals and security appliances (Sophos UTM/XG).
* Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Atlassian).
