Salary: $75,000–$85,000 plus superannuation (depending on experience and qualifications)
Mibek Industries Pty Ltd is a family-owned business specialising in the insurance building industry. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is based from our Northgate workshop with regular travel to projects throughout Southeast Queensland.
Key Duties
- Studying drawings, insurance repair scopes, and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Ordering, selecting and preparing timber and other materials to carry out restoration and reinstatement works.
- Cutting and shaping materials, assembling and nailing parts, and cutting wood joints to repair or replace damaged structures.
- Erecting and repairing framework, roof framing, sub-flooring, flooring, doors, windows and panelling as part of insurance repair projects.
- Assembling and installing timber fittings, joinery components and structural elements in both new and reinstated works.
- Repairing and restoring existing fittings and structures damaged by fire, water, storm or impact.
- Ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety and protection of company and client property.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Carpenter.
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Experience in insurance building and restoration work is highly regarded.
