Position Overview
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team managing kiosks and pharmacy operations, including driving to kiosk locations, restocking, and preparing orders for customer shipments.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive from physical pharmacy locations to remote pharmacy kiosk locations with company‐provided vehicle.
* Refill pharmacy kiosks with medication, paper, clean machine, and collect discarded inventory for return.
* Prepare inventory shipments for kiosk replenishment.
* Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy.
* Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Work daily with leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right orders.
* Run automated machinery required to pre‐sort and package medications.
* Fill exception trays with appropriate medication.
* Transition Amazon Pharmacy orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control.
* Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items.
* Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes.
* Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time.
* Aid the pharmacy manager and staff pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing.
* Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas within the pharmacy.
* Package medications for dispensing and for delivery.
* Work a flexible schedule – shifts may start and end outside of normal site business hours.
Physical Requirements
* Shifts last up to 12 hours (standard full‐time shifts are 10 hours, excluding overtime, flex and part‐time shifts may vary).
* Drive for long periods of time (8+ hours).
* Stand, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch and/or stretch.
* Lift and move products up to 49 lbs in weight.
* Manual dexterity of hands and wrists.
Basic Qualifications
* Active and unrestricted in‐state board of pharmacy license [for specific states only] or ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License within 30 days of start date, if required by the state board.
* Active and unrestricted in‐state driver's license.
* Clean driving record that passes Amazon's Motor Vehicle Checks, to be re‐checked annually. Driving privileges may be revoked if your DMV report indicates you have received a ticket for one or more of the following violations:
o Evading responsibility
o Being at fault in a fatal accident
o Having two or more motor vehicle accidents in the last three years
o Having a motor vehicle accident resulting in greater than $5,000 in damages
o Driving under the influence or in any way impaired by alcohol or drugs
o Reckless driving
o Recurrent speeding violations
o Recurrent driving suspensions
o Three or more driving violations within the last three years
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Six or more months of experience working with computer and web‐based tools.
* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
* Ability to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labels.
Preferred Qualifications
* National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA).
* Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
* Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to recognize and identify patient medications.
* Experience working under pressure in a fast‐paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality.
Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay for this position ranges from $42,120 per year in the lowest market to $60,008 per year in the highest market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‐related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‐on payments, and other forms of compensation.
