We are currently manufacturing our Next Generation Tram, including 100 Flexity low-floor trams for Melbourne's tram network.

Our Dandenong team is excited to announce an opening for 2 Electrical Apprentices.
This role reflects our commitment to nurturing local talent and providing opportunities for those starting their careers.
Under the guidance of our qualified team, you will learn electrical tasks related to our production process, gaining valuable experience in the rail industry.
This apprenticeship will support your trade education, open pathways for future career growth, and connect you with a network of professionals.
Are you eager to obtain a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and passionate about developing your skills in rail manufacturing?
Your Future Role:Assist in installing train materials and equipmentSupport fault finding and rectification of basic electrical circuitsRead and interpret electrical schematics and documentationUse tools such as wire cutters, strippers, test lights, multimeters, soldering tools, and insulation tapeCollaborate with team members and suggest improvementsFollow Alstom's workplace health and safety rulesAbout You:Mechanical aptitude with good measurement skills and hand-eye coordinationCommitted, able to follow instructions, and work well with othersWilling to undertake TAFE training to achieve Certificate III in ElectrotechnologyMinimum age of 16 yearsYear 10 English and Maths (or equivalent) with C gradesNote: Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with additional times for TAFE block learning.
