Fit For Work Youth Coach - Burnie Full-time SCHADS Level 4, $43.08 per hour Are you an experienced coach with a passion for supporting and coaching young people? Are you engaging and articulate, have a minimum Cert. IV in a relevant field and previous experience in supporting young people into employment, training and/or education. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the futures of young people through the YFCC Fit For Work Program. About the Role: As a Fit For Work (FFW) Youth Coach, you will work with local employment providers and other key referral agencies in the Burnie region to identify young jobseekers (aged between 15 and 25 years) who need additional supports to enter the workforce. The FFW Youth Coach works intensively with participants for 6 to 12 months to address health and wellbeing issues, build relationships and social connections and participate in soft employment skills training. The project aims to support participants to rebuild their health, confidence and lost social capital, so they are more likely to secure meaningful employment and become independent of welfare support. The key activities of Fit For Work program include: Case management and case coordination to address a wide range of participant’s barriers to employment, education, and training Developing participant’s work readiness through soft skills training Providing networking opportunities for participants with local employers, community, police and other key stakeholders Identification and coordination of opportunities for participants to engage with employers (e.g. through events, site tours or work experience opportunities). Key Requirements: Experience: Proven experience working with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Qualifications: Certificate IV in a relevant field. Skills: Previous experience in case management, case coordination and supporting young people into employment, training and/or education. YFCC is a child safe organisation.
