Water Quality and Environment Officer
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Water Quality and Environment Officer to contribute to Council's success.

About the Role
This role is responsible for delivering essential drinking water quality sampling and analytical services in accordance with Council's Drinking Water Quality Management Plan (DWQMP) – Verification Monitoring Program (VMP). It also supports the Water Quality & Environmental Monitoring Specialist (WQEMS) with Environmental Monitoring data management and provides water quality monitoring technical assistance across other business units as required.
You will bring:
* Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques/Water Industry Operations; or similar with demonstrated experience in water quality, sampling and analysis.
* Knowledge of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (2011 – updated 2021).
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
* Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
* Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).

This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
