The Role Reporting to the Assistant Secretary Data Management and Reporting Branch, the Director, Specialist Program Reporting Team is responsible for: Lead the development of reporting products and analysis to support the program teams including ParentsNext (and the development of a new pre-employment program for parents) Transition to Work, Self-Employment Assistance, Time to Work and Broome Employment Services. Work closely with policy and program management teams to identify data and reporting needs. Represent the Specialist Reporting Team and the Branch in working groups, committees, and other stakeholder meetings. Leading the Specialist Program Reporting team to be a trusted source of data and information Work collaboratively across the Data Management and Reporting Branch to ensure consistent and high-quality reporting products. Ensure that the team has the skills and resources required to deliver the work program. Initiate, engage, and collaborate on strategic/analytical projects. The roles are open to flexible working options including part-time hours, compressed work weeks, standard hours outside 8:30am – 5:00pm and hybrid office/home-work patterns. Skills and Capabilities We are seeking an individual with the following skills and capabilities: Experience in leading a team of data analysts to deliver policy insights and/or program outcomes, in collaboration with stakeholders. Experience in communicating data insights effectively to a diverse range of audiences. Ability to manage competing priorities, respond to stakeholder needs, and meet deadlines. Understanding of employment services programs (Desirable). The Opportunity This position is available to Ongoing Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and/or APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 5 months. Qualifications and Education Tertiary degree or equivalent work experience in quantitative fields such as statistics, economics, psychology, maths, science, data analytics, information systems or similar.
