Skills and Abilities:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Signwriter
* Certificate III in Signs and Graphics or other relevant qualification
* Ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $80,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
Full Time Position available
The role requires you to:
Have at least 3 years of experience installing all type of signage, graphics and vehicle wraps.
Work competently as part of a team or on your own, keeping quality control for installs on site.
Be hands on in all stages of signage production, including vinyl application and installation.
Have installation experience in areas such as store front - office and construction signage, led letters and light boxes, vinyl graphics and car wraps.
Working alone or with other team members.
Communication with other staff members.
Cleanliness is an essential.
We work with project managers from different companies, thus communication and respect are crucial.
Follow floorplans and artwork requirements; must be able to make executive judgements.
Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, service and communication.
Be extremely organised and driven, eager to learn, and have a positive attitude while following company processes and systems.
Conduct site inspections, which are necessary not only for measurements but also to determine the supplies and installation procedures that will be required.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
* Engaging in discussions with clients and assessing proposals, sketches, and written instructions to determine the composition of signage
* Install and maintain signage in accordance with client specifications
* Ensure accurate spelling, grammar, and design elements on all signs
* Utilizing computer software and sign making machinery to design and produce signs and graphics
* Crafting signs by measuring and calculating letter sizes, prepping surfaces, applying background paint using brushes, sprays, or rollers, and fashioning letters with brushes, stencils, enamel paint, and decals
* Developing wall murals, screen prints, gold leaf work, and custom vehicle art
* Applying lacquers, varnishes, paints, and various materials for sign and lettering painting
* Painting signs on various surfaces such as brick, metal, wood, glass, plastic, and others
* Constructing and installing three-dimensional signs
* Creating cost estimates for labour and materials
* Working on scaffolding and EWP when needed
* Installing signs at on-site locations
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in signwriting and installation
* Train and mentor junior signwriters and installation team members
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on projects
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to signage and graphics installation
