The Administration and Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to the Director, ensuring the smooth operation of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Director's schedule, screening telephone calls and prioritizing mail to optimize available time.
* Coordinate the Director's communications, including correspondence, email, and telephone calls, with a focus on tracking deadlines, importance, priority, and urgency.
* Arrange travel and organizational arrangements for Directors and other staff as required, considering whole-of-portfolio needs.
* Undertake projects aligned with portfolio objectives, setting project goals, implementing strategies, and reporting results.
* Prepare draft responses for correspondence and briefings for review by the Director, with tracking protocols in place for referred matters.
* Liaise with the Director on workload and priority issues that may require additional secretarial resources, providing support across the EA team as needed.
Requirements
* Significant experience as an EA, preferably in the government sector.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Permanent working rights.
