This international shipping and freight organisation is a longtime client of Randstad. They have a warm culture, with low staff turnover. Due to expansion and future projects, they are seeking an experienced procurement candidate for this newly created role.Working within an existing team, and alongside experienced project managers, your responsibilities will include:Working on high value freight-forwarding programmes - you will instigate and manage all procurement/sourcing, tendering & bid evaluation for all stages of the project lifecycle.Collaborating with a range of international suppliers to source high value, specialised materials & services.Contract formation and administration of contracts with varying contract value and complexity.Liaising with the international parent company to ensure procurement operates with a high level of probity while delivering procurement & project outcomes to tight timeframes.Establishing new strategic supplier relationships, and analysing existing agreements for improvements.What you will need to apply:Proven ability to successfully manage all stages of the procurement and contracting lifecycle on a project basis.A senior level of experience in strategic procurement and sourcing in project-based industries such as shipping, freight-forwarding, transport, and logistics.Broad supply chain management experience, and proven ability to source technical and hard-to-find materials and services.Ability to travel internationally.To apply for the role, please click on apply to submit your CV.
