Job Overview
Ventia seeks an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to deliver exceptional food and outstanding customer service in a collaborative environment. This casual position is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia.
The kitchen operates daily from approximately 6:00am to 9:30pm, with VIP events extending until around 11:00pm. Successful candidates will also have the chance to work at other Defence locations for camps, including Hampstead Barracks, Murray Bridge and Cultana.
* Assist with basic food preparation, including items such as sandwiches, bircher muesli, yogurt, and grab-and-go options.
* Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and professional demeanor.
* Support the implementation and management of Ventia's Food Safety Program.
Responsibilities
* Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment and food preparation areas.
* Aid chefs and dining room attendants as required, especially during peak times.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Baseline. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen. The selected candidate will undergo background checks and security screening. They will also receive comprehensive training on food safety and hygiene practices.'],
