* Level C: $150,841 – $173,931 per annum (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Opportunity
The Faculty of Education is seeking two academics to contribute to excellence and innovation in mathematics and literacy education from a learning sciences perspective. These positions support the University's academic mission through impactful research, scholarly engagement and curriculum innovation, strengthening the Faculty's leadership and broader academic profile in learning sciences and educational impact.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate teaching across mathematics or literacy education from a learning sciences perspective.
* Develop curriculum and learning materials.
* Supervise honours and higher degree research students.
* Contribute to research and scholarly publications.
* For Level C: lead unit development, contribute to research projects, and support Faculty initiatives and committee activities.
* For Level D: provide academic leadership through research mentoring, curriculum planning, competitive grant development, staff supervision, and strengthening national and international partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience
* Expertise in learning sciences within mathematics or literacy education.
* Strong research publication record.
* Evidence of advanced curriculum design capability and innovative teaching practice.
* For Level C: experience in research supervision, unit coordination, and developing collaborative research partnerships.
* For Level D: demonstrated leadership in securing competitive research funding, mentoring researchers, expanding HDR supervision, and building nationally and internationally recognised research collaborations and academic networks.
