Your Next Chapter in Aboriginal Health Education

KAMS is seeking a full-time RTO Trainer to join its dedicated education and training team in Broome. This is a key role responsible for delivering nationally accredited training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, with a strong focus on the Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care.

You will be part of a supportive team of trainers, cultural leaders and student support staff, delivering engaging education that prepares students for real-world success in community health roles.

This is more than a training role – it's a chance to guide, mentor and support the next generation of Aboriginal Health Workers while contributing to lasting change in remote health care.

You'll work alongside a passionate RTO team of approximately 15 staff, including instructional designers, trainers, and a student support team. The team includes respected local leaders who bring cultural knowledge, empathy and flexibility to the way the team is guided and supported. This cultural foundation shapes everything and ensures a work environment grounded in trust, respect and shared purpose.

How You'll Make a Difference

In this role, you will:

* Deliver block-based classroom training aligned to Cert II, III and IV Aboriginal Health Worker programs
* Contribute to planning, preparation and updating of culturally relevant learning materials
* Support students through one-on-one coaching, assessment feedback, and learning strategies
* Work with other trainers, instructional designers and support teams to maintain a high standard of training delivery
* Manage classroom activities, track progress, and contribute to student onboarding and evaluation
* Ensure compliance with RTO 2025 standards, including accurate record keeping and moderation
* Participate in continuous improvement and qualification review workshops

Training is delivered in Broome during regular two-week blocks, with flexibility for marking and preparation outside those periods. A February 2026 start for student delivery allows time for onboarding and familiarisation with the materials.

The Essentials for This Impactful Role

To be successful in this role, you must have:

* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
* A health qualification such as Registered Nurse or Aboriginal Health Worker
* Experience delivering adult education in a vocational context
* A culturally safe, inclusive approach to training
* Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one

It would also be highly regarded if you have:

* Experience working in remote or Aboriginal community settings
* Experience delivering training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners
* Established connections to the Kimberley region
