Key Responsibilities
* The Porter Manager is responsible for ensuring the Internal Patient Transport service meets operational commitments and increases patient flow efficiencies across the campus.
* This includes daily management of General Porters, implementation of quality improvement initiatives, oversight over procedural reporting, recruitment and optimising staffing to meet business demands.
The role also provides essential support to the Deputy Director, Clinical Support Services for all Internal Patient Transport service provisions and liaises with external departments for operational cohesion.

* Experience in managing the delivery of a service and a diverse team of staff is required.
* Strong leadership and staff management skills are necessary, along with the ability to contribute to building a team focused on high quality customer service.
* Exceptional problem solving skills and ability to address operational issues as they arise are also crucial.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people are essential.
