Trainer & Assessor - Individual Support, Disability, Ageing & Community Services
REACH for Training (REACH) is a well-respected and award-winning quality RTO delivering nationally recognised qualifications across Australia.
We welcome applications from Trainers and Assessors who are able to support our learners, deliver face-to-face classes, provide support to mixed-mode learners (on the job training), within our Wollongong campus, meet the below selection criteria and are available to deliver and assess either or all of the following training package qualifications:
Cert III in Individual Support (Disability & Ageing Support)
Cert IV Disability Support
Cert IV Ageing Support
Cert IV Community Services
Diploma Community Services
Key selection criteria
VET qualification: TAE Certificate IV in Training and Education or Diploma in VET + TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 units or equivalent (mandatory)
Relevant Industry qualifications: Hold the qualification of delivery or higher (mandatory)
Sufficient Industry Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in either the disability, ageing or community services sector (mandatory for the relevant qualification of delivery)
Industry Currency: Has worked in the disability, aged care support or community services sector in the last ******* months (mandatory for the relevant qualification of delivery)
Sufficient VET Experience: Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training (preferred)
Other selection criteria
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Strong level of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication and organisational skills
Ability to travel and conduct workplace visits within the Wollongong region
Demonstrated awareness of understanding the issues encountered by disadvantaged learners
Sound digital skills (using LMS platforms and Microsoft applications)
Knowledge, understanding and commitment to the new Standards for Registered Training Organisations and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
Willingness to maintain their industry/VET currency and continue to develop their existing knowledge and skills through professional development
