Ward Assistant (Hospital Assistant Grade 2) – Neonatal
Location: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney Local Health District – NSW Health. Employment Type: Temporary Part Time up to 12 months. Hours per week: 32. Remuneration: $29.05 per hour + Superannuation. Requisition ID: REQ611324.
This position provides assistance to Nurses, Midwives and other staff in clinical units to ensure the overall functioning of the service. It is a support role with duties including tidying, cleaning, stocking and errands as required. The role involves working four days a week: Thursday, Friday afternoon, and Saturday and Sunday morning.
Responsibilities
* Assist Nurses, Midwives and other staff in clinical units to support service delivery.
* Perform tidying, cleaning, stocking and errands as required to maintain unit function.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Ability to maintain safe work practices, adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
* Awareness of Infection Control principles and Manual Handling principles.
* Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with others.
