What’s on Offer Permanent full‑time role – 75 hours per fortnight New 20‑bed residential facility in Shenton Park Salary packaging – up to $18,500 Deliver safe, high‑quality clinical care that empowers people living with neurological conditions Join a passionate, multidisciplinary Residential Services team Ongoing professional development and a supportive workplace culture About the Role As a Residential Neurological Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, person‑centred clinical care to residents living with neurological conditions at our brand‑new 20‑bed facility in Shenton Park. Your work will support residents’ rights to dignity, respect, and self‑determination while providing essential clinical interventions, care planning, and ongoing assessments. You’ll collaborate with Residential Managers, care staff, allied health teams, GPs, and specialists to ensure each resident receives coordinated, responsive, and high‑quality clinical support. This is a meaningful role where you’ll make a profound, daily impact on resident wellbeing and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Client Support: Complete assessments and develop, update, and review resident Care Plans Deliver clinical care including continence, wound, stoma, enteral care, and medication management Liaise with GPs, pharmacists, and specialists regarding care and medication changes Manage clinical products, medical consumables, and equipment Provide supervision, advice, and support to Care Support Workers Support referrals, multidisciplinary collaboration, and holistic clinical decision‑making Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 Participate in research projects aimed at improving outcomes for people with neurological conditions Follow MSWA escalation procedures to ensure optimal resident care Team Collaboration & Support: Engage in effective communication with staff across the facility Assist in the orientation, training, and supervision of new and existing staff Act as a clinical knowledge resource for team members Contribute to Quality Assurance activities and ongoing clinical improvements Maintain continuity of communication regarding changes to resident care Administration & Compliance: Complete clinical documentation and adhere to MSWA’s clinical governance framework Submit clinical reports, monitor indicators, and participate in meetings Ensure compliance with NDIS Worker Screening, NDIS Orientation, Code of Conduct, WHS, and MSWA policies Must‑haves Current AHPRA Nursing Registration Current First Aid & CPR Certificate Strong time‑management and caseload‑prioritisation skills Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team Effective communication skills Ability to respond to changing clinical needs and priorities Basic understanding of neurological conditions (MS, MND, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, ABI, Spinal Cord Injury) and symptom management Caring, reliable, and capable of performing a wide range of clinical care tasks NDIS Workers Screening Clearance & NDIS Workers Orientation Module Certificate Nice‑to‑haves Experience working with people with high physical and medical support needs Working With Children Check (WWCC) Knowledge of Disability Service Standards Familiarity with multidisciplinary or residential care environments Why You’ll Love Working Here Make a meaningful impact supporting residents living with complex neurological conditions Join a supportive, collaborative clinical team Salary packaging to increase take‑home pay Professional development opportunities across MSWA A culture of compassion, respect, and genuine care Ready to make a difference?
