Role Summary:
This role is focused on supporting the council's community and strategic priorities through Freedom of Information (FOI) advice, request processing, and privacy complaint coordination.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance to staff on FOI and privacy matters.
* Be a key liaison with the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner.
* Process Freedom of Information requests in a timely manner.
* Complete annual reporting to OVIC.
* Coordinate reviews of privacy complaints.
To excel in this role, candidates should have a tertiary qualification in legal administration or significant experience in a similar position. Demonstrated knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and strong relationship-building skills are also essential.
