We have an opportunity for an Analyst, based out of Brisbane, to join the team. This is a permanent full-time position.
**The Opportunity**
In this role you will be providing support and acting as back up to the incumbent NSW, QLD and WA Finance Officers in the delivery of accurate, complete and timely real estate licensing and other Communities-related financial processing. You will also help identify and drive process alignment and improvement across States.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support and act as back up as required in the delivery of Real Estate Trust Accounting tasks including daily clearance of transactions, receipt issuance, cashbook maintenance, reconciliations and settlement transfers.
- Support adherence to Real Estate Trust Accounting compliance and the escalation of related matters.
- Support and deliver process improvement and alignment through the co-ordination and documentation of various procedures related to Communities financial transactions.
- Contribute to team success by working collaboratively, engaging with divisional teams nationally (Sales, Conveyancing, Commercial Finance, Reporting & Analysis, Shared Services, Commercial Management, Risk & Compliance).
- Query management and investigation of transactional matters.
- Assist with Residential periodic general ledger postings and processing of Land Lease Communities transactions.
- Compliance responsibilities including performing checks on Project Trust Accounts, assisting with Compliance Attestations, assisting with annual Trust Account and Group statutory audit requests
- Assist with State-based commercial activities - including accruals, non-trust reconciliations, valuation reviews (land tax and rates), payment clearing, ad hoc invoicing, follow up of debtors, reviewing balance sheet reconciliation aged items etc.
- Assisting team members when needed; sharing ideas, knowledge and experience; and seeking to learn from team members.
**About You**
- Appropriate tertiary qualification/s in accounting/business/commerce
- Accounting and stakeholder management experience
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, and proficiency with Excel
- Experience with real estate trust accounting and compliance (desired)
- Experience with SAP (desired)
- Experience in documenting procedures (desired)
