Offer description

You will be an ingeral part of the operations by providing Management of Heritage & Native Title stakeholder interfaces - PBC's, Traditional owner groups, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (including DPLH & JV partners, etc.) Lead Heritage survey engagements, supporting commercial negotiations, coordination and delivery for the project Location: Bentley with occational regional trips Pay Rate: Neg Hours: 38 hours per week 6 month contract (with possible extention)

Key Responsibilities:

- Single point accountability for all Project Heritage & Native Title matters.
- Lead and primary project representative in all heritage related meetings, internal and external.
- Develop and Implement project Heritage plans, presentations, documentation and processes as required to deliver on the project objectives.
- Facilitate delivery of multiple, simultaneous project heritage surveys.
- Provide SME advice to the project management team on heritage or native title issues.
- Understand customer and JV partner needs and effectively manage their expectations.
- Deliver against cost targets / budget.
- Technical review of project heritage survey reports.
- Deliver and implementation of best practice heritage & Native Title processes to achieve desired outcomes and in compliance with relevant heritage & Native Title legislation and standards.
- Deliver monitoring, audit and report performance and compliance against plans, systems and processes.
- Governance - Including responsibility for maintaining Heritage & Native Title project folder in the document control system, version control of all related project artifacts and maintenance of the Traditional owner interface register.

**Education**:
It is highly desirable that the incumbent possess a tertiary qualification in Archaeology and / or Anthropology or Cultural Studies.

Skills and Experience:

- Comprehensive understanding of Aboriginal heritage industry processes.
- Familiarity with the Aboriginal Heritage Act and Regulations and the Native Title Act.

Essential:

- At least 5 years practical experience in a role managing native title and heritage matters.
- Experience relationship building with Traditional owner groups & PBC's, preferably in the Pilbara region of WA.
- Heritage survey agreement negotiation exposure (with support from project commercial lead).
- Substantial experience coordinating heritage surveys in regional WA.

Desired:

- Experience delivering heritage services for national/international corporations.
- Advanced level skill - GIS
