Head of Commercial (FOH Operations Manager)
The Head of Commercial is responsible for leading all FOH operational aspects of To be Frank.
The Head of Commercial will work closely with the Head of Operations, Head of Finance, and the Managing Director to achieve To be Frank’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
People
* Provide leadership and direction to To Be Frank managers and staff.
* Foster a positive, values-aligned culture that promotes teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
* Implement training and development initiatives to increase staff capability.
* Assist direct reports with any people issues that arise.
Strategic Planning
* Collaborate with the Head of Operations, Head of Finance, and Managing Director to develop and execute To be Frank’s strategic plan.
* Identify new growth opportunities, assess market trends, and recommend business development and expansion strategies.
* Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
FOH Operations
* Oversee daily FOH operations across both locations.
* Ensure staff deliver high-quality customer service.
* Liaise with the Head of Operations and Head Pastry Chef to manage stock levels.
* Communicate customer feedback regarding product popularity and quality concerns.
* Execute quality control measures and discard products that do not meet standards.
* Support staff in managing wholesale orders, including packing.
* Communicate updates and changes to the team.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all locations.
* Ensure packaging and consumable stock levels are maintained, including crockery.
Compliance
* Ensure adherence to To be Frank’s guidelines and procedures.
* Support legal compliance, including WH&S, Food Safety, allergen training, and handling food poisoning allegations.
Events & Brand Management
* Manage To be Frank events, including negotiations, operations, and commercial terms.
* Protect and enhance the brand through marketing and brand management strategies.
* Work with the team to implement marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to boost brand awareness and sales.
