**Position purpose**
Royal International Commerce Pty Ltd ABN 68 605 424 851, a leading importer and distributor of fresh European and international food, is seeking an organized and reliable Supply Chain Analyst for a full-time, permanent position.
Royal focuses on B2B relationships, supplying major Australian retailers and leading food distributors. Its product range includes over 100 cheeses, numerous types of smallgoods, and a variety of gourmet items imported from across Europe (including Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and The Netherlands) as well as, more recently, North America.
In Australia, operating from its warehouse in Matraville and without significant owned assets, Royal has been supplying for 10 years directly to the country's major national retailers, including Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Costco, Harris Farm, and many others. Thanks to a highly efficient distribution strategy, Royal's imported fresh food products reach over 2,500 stores nationwide.

A strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and distribution processes is critical to delivering exceptional service to our clients while maximizing business outcome. In addition, due to the nature of our business, a solid grasp of European languages, geography, and Mediterranean food culture is highly valued.
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a key role in leading, developing, managing, coordinating, and implementing the logistics and distribution procedures for the products commercialize by Royal.
The role demands not only deep, up-to-date knowledge of logistics but also great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a cooperative mindset to support all functions within the company.
**Main tasks**
Core objectives include:
- Analyze and evaluate existing operation, supply chain, logistics, and distribution processes to identify inefficiencies and develop tailored strategies for operational improvement.
- Design and implement new methodologies, policies, and workflows to enhance cost-effectiveness, service levels, and overall business performance within current and future operation.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders (including accounts, clients, transport providers, warehouses, and suppliers) to ensure alignment and seamless execution of supply chain activities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare business cases for structural changes, resource planning, or partner selection, including detailed cost modelling and risk assessment.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular reports with actionable insights to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
- Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams, promoting capability development and process ownership across departments.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional activities during new product launches, system transitions, or operational shifts to ensure business continuity.
- Investigate customer concerns and quality issues, managing corrective actions in line with food safety and QA standards.
- Review and refine internal communication flows and business procedures to strengthen operational transparency and responsiveness.
- Identify and assess emerging trends or opportunities in logistics and customer service to support the company's strategic goals and long-term growth.

**Required qualities**
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a role directly involved in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a clear "hands-on", proactive approach.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on improving company outcomes while achieving personal and team objectives.
- Degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management (preferred) or a related qualification.
- Solid understanding of European food culture, particularly in cheese, smallgoods, and gourmet products.
- Detail-oriented, curious, precise, and professional in conduct.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in at least one additional language: Italian, Spanish, or French.
- Experience working with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite).
