The Analytics Lead sits within the Strategic Planning and Analytics team in the People and Culture branch, focusing on Human Resource-related analytics while also supporting the broader Corporate Services division in designing and implementing analytics initiatives.
This role offers an opportunity to significantly contribute to modernizing data and analysis approaches within a government department.
We seek someone with both technical competence (including data infrastructure, processing, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis) and a passion for helping others gain insights from data. You'll be part of a small team using data analytics to guide a diverse department on workforce and corporate decisions.
Typical Responsibilities
Working with datasets to cleanse and analyze, using statistical and analytical techniques to identify risks and issues.
Collaborating with HR team members to share insights and discuss implications for planning and decision-making.
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to improve data governance, processes, and infrastructure.
Presenting analysis findings at committee meetings to inform department-wide initiatives.
Developing new key measures within existing data models and updating dashboards and reports for self-service insights.
Mentoring colleagues on analysis methods, programs, or programming languages.
