Deployed Network Engineering Team
, on a contract basis within the Defence sector. These roles are based in
Canberra, ACT
. The contract is for an
initial 16 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option
.

DSS Skill Set: Level 3 - Systems and Software Engineering - Software Engineering
The Task requires the following Engineers and responsibilities:
1. Networking Engineer -
provide reporting on current communication network technologies and topologies and network integration in related projects. Lead in designing and developing requirements for the networking hardware, applications and systems. Evaluate and Identify candidate solutions to meet the requirements. Working within the team this Engineer will identify, analyse and resolve program support deficiencies.
2. Infrastructure Engineer -
provide reporting of current system and/or hardware and systems infrastructure and/or hardware in related projects. Lead in designing, specifying, selecting and developing information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance. Working within the team this Engineer will work multiple projects with varied stakeholders. Advise on infrastructure direction, build consensus, and mediate conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the customer and the program team.
3. Applications Engineer -
provide reporting of current system applications and systems applications in related projects. Lead in designing and developing requirements for the lifecycle of applications and systems. Working within the team this Engineer will work with vendors to assess vendor products, incorporate to the overall design and assist in implementation and technical resolution.
4. Software Engineer - Commvault -
deliver engineering structures, life cycle reports and methodologies, and support compliance activities. Working within this team this Engineer will be responsible for designing, specifying, selecting and developing engineering solutions that consider functionality, back-up and storage security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
5. Share Point Engineer -
provide reports on SharePoint of current system and other integrating systems in related to projects such as WNA. Develop requirements for the refresh of the system SharePoint. Working within the team this Engineer will provide evaluation reports of the software data including recommendations, Conduct evaluation of the candidate monitoring solution whilst Delivering a build guide for the monitoring solution and further delivering an As Built As Configured template for the build.
6. Engineer -
contribute to the development of engineering governance structures, methodologies and compliance activities whilst also contributing in design, specifying, selecting and development engineering solutions considering functionality, SWAP, security, integration, infrastructure and performance. Working within the team this Engineer will work across multiple projects with varied stakeholders. Contribute to engineering direction, build consensus, and mediate conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the customer and program team.
7. Technical Assurance Engineer -
provide broad product knowledge and experience in order to solve and support implementation of complex, cross-functional system issues. Develop and maintain models of current and future architectures with defined solutions. Working within this team this Engineer will in consultation with the chief engineer and principal architect, assessing architectures, infrastructure, security and solutions for integration with respective deployed system.
8. System Engineer -
provide system-design artefact pack covering architecture, integration, and performance documentation. Working within this team this Engineer will deliver engineering review minutes and configuration baseline update logs and Engineering governance plan defining compliance methodology and assurance approach.
9. System Architect -
deliver architecture design pack defining data, security, integration and performance for CJC16 systems. Working within this team this Engineer will provide architectural compliance reports and system-integration review artefacts.
10. Engineering Assurance and Training Officer -
deliver Engineering-to-Training Gap analysis report covering software, application and configuration updates. Working within this team this Engineer will provide learning management integration pack ensuring all system changes are captured in training materials.
Minimum mandatory requirements:
* AGSVA Security clearance.
* Defence experience.
* Experience within sustainment, maintenance, and evolution of deployed network capabilities and products, ensuring continuous service improvement and support.
