Job Opportunity: Entry-Level Meat Processing Position
We are seeking entry-level candidates for our meat processing team based in Warrnambool, Victoria. As a member of our production team, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the handling and processing of meat products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Packing of meat into boxes or plastic bags
* Marshaling of carcasses and cartons into refrigerators, freezers, and shipping containers, requiring manual lifting
* General cleaning and maintenance of slaughter floors and boning rooms using shovels and brooms
* Assisting with the removal of hides, fore, and hind hocks from carcasses using both manual and mechanical methods
* Attaching shackles to rear legs of cattle and lifting forelegs into cleats in the slaughter chain
* Removal of animal tails using knives
* Folding pre-cut cardboard into cartons and inserting plastic liners
Requirements:
* You must be reliable, physically fit, and willing to work as part of a team
* Understanding the importance of good hygiene, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures
* Eligibility to work full-time in Australia (38 hours/week)
* Pass a drug and alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
* Have already received a Q Fever vaccination or be willing to participate in the vaccination process
