About the role
ICE Engineering & Construction is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to join our site team on a major greenfields project. This is a hands-on, in-field role, responsible for supervising daily E&I construction activities and leading a crew of up to 10–20 electrical and instrumentation personnel at the work front. The role operates on a 2/1 FIFO roster, with flights provided.
You will be accountable for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of E&I works, working closely with project leadership and other disciplines to meet schedule and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate 10–20 E&I personnel across active work fronts
· Direct day-to-day E&I construction activities including cable installation, glanding, termination, earthing, and equipment connections
· Read and interpret drawings, cable schedules, and specifications to ensure correct installation
· Lead pre-starts, toolbox talks, and enforce WHS, PTW, and isolation requirements
· Manage work-front materials, MTOs, and short-term planning
· Report daily progress, issues, and manpower to the project team
Ideal Candidate
· Proven E&I Supervisor experience on mining or heavy industrial projects
· Olympic Dam / BHP site experience highly regarded
· Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation
· Safety-focused, organised, and confident leading crews in the field
· Greenfield and brownfield electrical/instrumentation construction & commissioning experience
