As a senior member of the Operations Team, you will safely, compliantly, and profitably deliver drilling services to our customer base nationally. This is a leadership role where drilling experience is not essential, however a sound understanding of the drilling purpose is required. The key accountability for this role is owning and driving more sustainable and improved business performance across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in operational matters, applying systems, processes, and practices to drive performance.
* Deliver drilling services safely, compliantly, and profitably to customers across Australia.
* Own and drive sustainable improvements in business performance and value for clients.
* Lead and coordinate multi-site operations with a focus on operational excellence.
* Engage, align, and develop teams to achieve objectives and maintain high standards of safety and ethics.
* Manage contractor relationships, preferably within mining, and oversight of procurement and execution related to drilling projects.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the business and contribute to research and technology development.
* Foster awareness and implementation of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles within the organization.
* Travel regularly and demonstrate visible leadership across operational sites in Western Australia.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of the Water Well drilling method.
* uncompromising approach to compliance, safety, and ethical operations.
* Experience in budgeting/forecasting and delivering financial outcomes.
* Strong customer/relationship management and communication skills.
* Practical experience in engaging with, aligning, and focusing teams to deliver operational excellence.
* Successful work experience in contractor management (preferably within mining).
* Ability to lead and coach individuals and teams, including competency development and performance management.
* Solid understanding of Environmental, Social & Governance, and a passion to drive this within an organization.
* Willingness to contribute to driving new research development and technology.
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* In-depth exposure and knowledge of the mining industry from within a mining company.
* Current Drivers Licence.
* Resident of Western Australia.
