**Who are we looking for?**
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Manager, Engineering Services to join Facilities Management, Administrative Division.
The Manager, Engineering Services is responsible for the management of building services engineering related matters within the Facilities Management Department and for the provision of engineering expertise to the University in the context of QUT's built assets and related infrastructure. The position interacts with staff at all levels of the University including Heads of Departments and Divisions, Head of Faculty Services, academic and professional staff and students.

The Facilities Management Department within the Division of Administrative Services is responsible for managing the process of design, construction, maintenance and operation of the physical facilities, and the provision of a range of support services across the University's two main campuses at Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and a range of smaller offsite facilities. QUT's built asset portfolio includes in excess of 68 individual buildings with a total gross floor area (GFA) in excess of 400,000 m2. Facility functionality ranges from general teaching spaces to high technology research laboratories and related infrastructure.

You will demonstrate:
**Selection Criteria**
- Education training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in the field of Engineering Services.
- Demonstrated design and operational/maintenance knowledge of building engineering electrical and mechanical services, building management control systems, and contemporary solutions for energy efficiencies utilising Building Automation/Management Systems (eg Schneider 'StruxureWare')
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary team environment in a large organisation
- Sound knowledge of contemporary procurement and financial management practices relevant to the delivery of Capital projects and diverse maintenance programs
- Demonstrated experience in project management for delivery of building services for complex facilities e.g., laboratories.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.
