Position: Licensed Practical Nurse

About The Role:
">
This role works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The successful candidate will identify the need for medical attention and alert the Physician and/or RN of medical concerns.
">
Key Responsibilities:
">
* Guest Care & Advocacy:
o Provides education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication, and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing.
o Coordinates care, including assisting individuals with making medical and/or other provider appointments as needed.
* Compliance & Risk Management:
o Assists with intake process.
o Collects blood or urine specimens and arranges transport to lab as ordered.
o Monitors care of individuals, including monitoring of medications under the supervision of the RN.
o Oversees and maintains medication records in accordance with policy and State Regulations.
o Completes clinical documentation as required.
o Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
o Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
* Cross Functional Collaboration:
o Provides support to Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, which includes treatment and discharge planning.
* Additional Duties:
o Performs other related duties assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
* Education/Licenses:
o Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
o Current and valid LPN license.
* Experience:
o Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
o Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred.
o Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions, and interactions of medications prescribed.
* Skills:
o Basic computer skills.
o Ability to pay close attention to detail.
o Ability to problem solve.
o Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
o Effective listening skills.
o Excellent clinical documentation skills.

Physical Demands:

This role may include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses.
